Let the Journey Begin!

Updated: Feb 16, 2024

Greetings to All! Last Friday Jessie, our eldest daughter and my crocheting queen, took a trip to the OKC State Fair Grounds. Braum's An Affair of the Heart Arts and Crafts show was happening! An Affair of the Heart has several shows this year, both in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. They're easy to find on the internet, and their fairs are quite a joy! We met some amazing people with some amazing talent, and I'd like to introduce them to you!

The Uncommon Bag

Our first stop was The Uncommon Bag, and they are truly uncommon! Owner, Joannie Wooder, creates these stunning bags, wallets and cardholders out of cork! Her daughter, Jennifer Hughes creates custom mugs, cups and pens. And yes, I got me a brand new cork wallet!

Arkansas Knifemaker

Arkansas Knifemaker, Ted Hern, has quite the pizzazz with his talent! His wooly mammoth inlays and Damascus blades are beautifully detailed. His story is what captured my attention! He makes and sells his knives to support an ongoing ministry in India. God Bless him! Down the line, I'll share why India is so important to me!

Diana's Designs

Diana Thompson, owner of Diana's Designs, does some beautiful hand work! She's been doing An Affair of the Heart since 2012! Love all the bright colors she uses!

Traveling "C" Turtles

I loved meeting the Traveling "C" Turtles! Custom laser works with a flair! Connie Frahm, owner, has quite a vision with her art! They offer beautiful wooden maps of all sorts that are interactive! I wonder if they'd do a map of all the craft shows across America!

3M Embroidery

Meet Peggy Pate, owner of 3M Embroidery. Her hooded towels were so bright and fun! There's not a kid I know that wouldn't want one! She embroiders hats, bags, gifts and does custom orders as well!

What a thrill to get out there and meet these people who use their hands to create beautiful art! These crafters are waiting on your orders! If you're interested in their products, you can find them online, most are on Facebook. If you need some help, let me know!

Until next time, be creative and have a great day! God Bless!
